Amelia Fang and the Barbaric Ball

Amelia Fang is a single child who doesn’t have many friends. Amelia and her family live in the Land of Darkness; everyone in the Land of Darkness is awake at night and asleep during the day. Amelia has a pet pumpkin named Squashy. Every year, her family has a special event called the Barbaric Ball. The family always tries to invite King Vladimir, but he would never go to the ball and they would be sad. Finally, one day, the King decided to go with his son Prince Tangine. The prince had started going to Amelia’s school, but at school he wasn’t really nice; he was a little demanding to Amelia and her friends. Will Amelia be able to befriend the prince?

I liked this book because if you’re mean and demanding, you are not going to have a lot of friends. To be a good friend, you should stick up for people that are getting bullied and tell someone because it is not okay to get bullied. That is what this book means to me, and that’s what I want for the world.
