Allie All Along
Allie All Along is a book about dealing with emotions. The story is about a girl named Allie who breaks her crayon and gets furious, fuming, frustrated, and so, so, sooo angry! Her big brother helps her calm down with a variety of strategies such as punching a pillow, taking deep breaths, and counting down.
The story is fiction but can be helpful in real-life situations. The purpose of this story is to inform readers on how to calm down. The strength of the book is the way the pictures help to show the stages of anger and how Allie moves from being super angry to mad and then sad. I think this story is good because of the information it gives—how it can help people work through their emotions. I would recommend this story to pre-schoolers. I think it is better suited for younger children; read this to your little one when they get mad, and it might help.
