Description
This is a very unique and lovely book. The beaded illustrations in the book add so much dimension, not only to the art but the story. This is a Cherokee story of working together and how helping one another can help the whole community. The story really leaves one to ponder who is right, the teacher or the grandmother.
At first glance, it looks like any other book until you see the beauty of the beadwork in the illustrations. I feel like this really adds so much to the illustrations of the book, and also the Cherokee culture behind the book. I liked how the beginning of the book said sometimes the designs have an intentionally non-matching bead to show there is beauty in mistakes.
