All About Thailand: Stories, Songs, Crafts and Games for Kids
All About Thailand is a great book written by Elaine Russell. It is about Thailand’s stories, songs, crafts, and games for kids. The book is written so that two kids tell information about their country; their names are Mali and Tawan. Thailand is shaped like an elephant with a long and skinny truck. Mali lives in the elephant’s ear (northern Thailand), and Tawan lives in the elephant trunk (southern Thailand). My favorite part is when they told us about Sonkran, a Thai holiday. During Sonkran, people get to dump water and chalk powder on people. Here is a sneak peek at Thai facts: Sonkran is Thailand’s New Year celebration. It lasts for three days (Aprirl 13-15). Thailand also has a children’s day. The pictures are very cute and colorful. I like Thai games because they are very fun. It is very interesting to see the Indian epic Ramayanam in Thailand, where it is called Ramakien. These are the reasons why I like All About Thailand.
