Alien in My Pocket #3: Radio Active
As in the last book, Zack is trying very hard to keep his alien, Amp, secret. But one night while he is doing his schoolwork, his friend Olivia comes over to talk to him and bring some dinner for Amp. The dinner was Sweet Tarts (he also eats Ritz Crackers). While they are talking about things, Zack’s little brother, Taylor, was listening on their conversation. He peeks his head through the door and asks for some Sweet Tarts, which Olivia gives him. Olivia says they have to find a way to get him to stop listening to them. Then she has an idea – to pretend that Amp is a spider, since Taylor is afraid of them. They do that trick, but then at breakfast the next morning, Taylor wasn’t there, or at school. Meanwhile, Amp had taken Zack’s walkie-talkie. Amp makes a radio and means to call his home planet, but ends up talking to the school, saying, “Call off the invasion!” Everyone panicked! Can Zack keep Amp from being discovered?
I like this book because Amp is very funny, and I also like the pictures. I like reading more adventures of Amp, Zack, and Olivia.
