Ah-Choo!
When a little boy really wants to get a pet, he tries to bring home a bunch of animals, but every time his sister tries to pet them, she goes Ah-Choo!. The animals he brings are the alphabet. First an antelope, birds, and a cat, all the way to a xantis, a yaffle and a zebra. Will the little boy ever find a pet that his sister is not allergic to?
I loved reading Ah-choo!. I thought it was fun to read because of the rhyming words. I didn’t realize the animals were alphabetical until the second time I read it. There were so many animals that I had never heard of before, like xantis, takin, and yaffle. The illustrations were bright, and fun to look at. I liked that the illustrator showed all the different animals and I loved when “ah-choo” was written on the blocks, or down the page. I was doing a reading program at our local animal shelter and brought this book along to read to the dogs. I think they also liked the story.
