This book takes place in an elementary school and on Odd Street. Agatha Parrot is a kid. They get eggs at their school to raise. They become chicks. There are thirteen. Four kids, including Agatha, take the chicks home for the night, while Mr. Motley, the janitor, fixes the chicken house. Agatha’s sister releases her chickens, so she doesn’t know if she has three or four because one special person got four. They are going to count the chicks the next day at school! Agatha thinks one chick might have gotten sucked into a trombone or buried under a cactus! Will Agatha find the thirteenth chick? Read the book to find out.

Agatha is the narrator. She is silly. My favorite character is Random, the chick. He’s cute. The pictures in the book were weird, funny, and strange. I didn’t like when Agatha accused her friends of losing the chick. She was scared she had lost the chick. She should have been honest. I like the chicken puzzle at the end of the book. There are more games on the Agatha Parrot website. I might want to read more Agatha Parrot books. The Odd Street School Ghost sounds interesting.
