Action Presidents #1: George Washington!

The events of George Washington’s life, from his time as a little boy to becoming a leader in American history and first president, is the subject of the first installment of Action Presidents. When he was young, he had dreams of being a “proper British gentleman” and going to a fine school, but plans fell through when his father died. He was held back by his worried mother, who finally let George become a surveyor. After that, he had countless adventures, from encounters with natives to quarrels with the British, and he slowly rose to power.

This is a very accurate description of the life of George Washington, and most of the information mentioned I didn’t even know! The age range on the book says eight to twelve, and I think that’s pretty accurate; it seems like a fair claim. The only thing I slightly disagree with in this book is that the panels looked very crowded, and I think that that sometimes made it harder to read.
