A Tale as Tall as Jacob: Misadventures With My Brother
Samantha is an ordinary kid, but when her brother Jacob is born, he grows up to be unstoppable and chaotic. It turns out Jacob has a condition called ADHD that is a common diagnosis in kids, so why does dealing and living with Jacob feel so difficult?
Filled with warmth, love, and drama, A Tale as Tall as Jacob is a great book about loving and accepting your family for who they are. This book reminded me of some other graphic novels I know and love. I loved the simple yet complex story, although the illustrations were only okay and not really my style. The colors were nice and neutral, and the writing was clean and easy to follow. I liked all the interesting drama that happened in the book.
Overall, the book was good, funny, and always had something interesting going on. A Tale as Tall as Jacob is a book recommended for people who like graphic novels about sibling relationships, such as Bad Sister by Charise Mericle Harper and Sisters by Raina Telgemeier.
