A Most Clever Girl: How Jane Austen Discovered Her Voice
This story is about the clever Jane Austen whose books were read everywhere. Jane Austen loved books. She loved the stories in them. She rewrote pale stories in her playful, unique way. Words made Jane happy. As Jane grew, however, something was wrong. As much as she loved rewriting pale stories, she wanted to write stories that would include things that she loved, things that mattered to her. How will Jane Austen discover her voice? Read the book to find out!
Beautiful story. Beautiful art. Beautiful book altogether. I absolutely love how the plants are drawn, especially the trees! The cover is fantastic, and when you take off the paper binding, you can see strawberry plants drawn all over. I haven’t read Jane Austen’s books, but I look forward to reading them soon when I’m older. They’ll be possibly more interesting since I now know Jane’s side of the story. I recommend this book to fans of Jane Austen’s clever writing or young authors who are looking for ideas and inspiration to find their voices.
