A Letter for Leo
This is a book about a character named Leo. Leo is a mailman. He delivers all kinds of mail but has never received any mail. One day he finds a bird in the mail box. He decides that the bird is too small to be out on its own, so he takes it home. After he has taken care of the bird all winter, the bird is bigger and ready to fly away in the spring. One day, he finally receives a letter from the little bird. He is happy since he has always wanted a letter in the mail. I like this book. I also like to get mail! Leo was nice to the little bird. This book is very easy to read. It only has a short sentence on each page. I think kids that are just learning to read would like this book since they can read it. Other kids would like to listen to this book even if they can’t read it yet. The pictures also tell what is happening, so it is fun to look at the pictures. My sister that is three really liked reading this book over and over. I would recommend this book to kids that are under six years old.
