A Brave Bear

A Brave Bear is a story about a very little brown bear cub and his very big brown bear dad. It was hot outside; very hot, like a hot June day in Texas. Little bear decided they should go splash around in the river to cool down. Nothing cools you off like a nice swim in a chilly river!

On the way down to the river, the bears had an adventure. They were jumping from rock to rock. Big bear told little bear to be careful, but little bear was being sneaky. He decided to do a really big jump! But, he fell down and bonked his knee. Only a very brave bear could have stood up to continue his journey to the river. Is little bear a very brave bear? Do the bears get to splash in the nice, cool water?

I love the details in the pictures, like the lizard and the turtle looking at his own refection in the water. For all the little bear cubs out there who think their big daddy bears are the best, read this book!
