This book is really fun to look at but it’s boring to read, because the words are just telling the names of the animals. But it is fun to find the animals that are told on each page. I like to count, and on each page you can count eight of one of the animals. This is an animal alphabet book, so each page has a letter of the alphabet and lots of animals that start with that letter, like ‘A’ has an alligator, armadillo, abalone, aardvark, and eight ants to count. Some of the animals are really strange, like a quoll. I don’t know what a quoll is but it’s really cute! There aren’t very many animals on the ‘Q’ page, just a quail and a quetzal and the quoll – but there is only one animal on the ‘X’ page – the xerus! Some pages have lots of animals though. At the end of the book you can learn a little bit about the animals. I like the whale because it is so big. I like all the animals. This is a fun book for counting and to see all the animals.
