This book tells the story of five different elephants, their life and how they die, if they are dead (which makes my mom cry). Each story is different, one is wild and the rest are captured. The book tells all about elephants too. It tells facts about their life and what they are like. It tells about how elephants are used in different countries, to be ridden, in festivals, in parades and to do work.

I loved this book. I loved that the book tells all about an elephant’s life and how they do things. I didn’t like how they used to treat elephants. I don’t like how they chained them up in the zoos and circuses. It is so sad that they used to go capture them from the wild. But I do like that people are trying to help elephants. My favorite part was the picture of the elephant on roller skates. Her story is a happy one. I recommend this book to everybody. You get to learn elephant facts and all about how to help elephants. It is long but everybody should read it so they can learn how to help conserve elephants. Everyone can do something!
