Strawberries are a much-loved fruit but nobody loves them more than Jolie. Jolie is a young girl who loves strawberries and wants to grow them in her own backyard. Unfortunately, her parents don’t think she can handle the responsibility yet, but that doesn’t stop Jolie. She decides that if she wants to get the strawberry plant she’s going to have to show her parents just how responsible she can be. With lots of perseverance and hope, Jolie finally is able to show her parents that she can take care of a strawberry plant.

This story was a fun journey as well as a great lesson. Throughout the story, readers learned how to show responsibility as well as how to take care of plants. Jolie was a great role model and was very entertaining.

Shannon Anderson had a repetitive moral throughout the story. The moral was always to have hope and faith. The illustrator Jaclyn Sinquett provided a wonderful storyline depiction through great pictures. All the illustrations were super colorful and drew the reader’s attention towards them. The book is great for seven or eight-year-olds, or even for parents to read to their children. This book was highly pleasurable and I would definitely recommend it. In all, I Love Strawberries was a great book.
