1,000 Facts About the Bible
This book tells the readers a lot of information about the Bible. Can you believe there are one thousand facts about the Bible contained in this one book? It has a lot of good pictures and paintings, too. There are facts about things like gardens, clothing, food, art, journeys, buildings, and lots more. The characters are people like King Solomon, who used to rest his foot on a golden footstool when he entertained audiences. My favorite parts of this book were about the palaces that the kings lived in: “Some palaces boasted pools and fountains.” There is something I didn’t like about this book, which is that it is hard to read through the whole book at one time. I think that kids who want to learn more about religion would enjoy reading this book. “The Bible was written over a period of about 1,000 years, on three continents, and in three languages—by shepherds, fishermen, philosophers, and kings.” It is a special book for me because it helps me to know more about the Bible.
