You Rule!: A Practical Guide to Creating Your Own Kingdom (Lonely Planet Kids)

This book is about creating a country for yourself. Micronations can be your room, an island made by a volcano (you can buy one), or some territory in Antarctica you can claim. They are real. Some of the micronations have tourists and money. A country needs a map, a flag, coins, visas. You make the rules. The Coat of Arms is a thing two animals hold up with a crown at the top. (I like the guinea pigs on the Coat of Arms).

I learned a lot, like that parts of Antarctica are up for grabs. We used the book to make our own micronations with my friends. I made a country outside my house where people smile and don’t pick flowers. Other countries were the toy factory country, the lemonade one, and the ice cream place. We voted to see who got into the Micronation Union. (All of them made it in). My friends want this book. It’s fun creating your own country!

People who want to be rulers should read this book – and people who want to learn a lot of facts about countries. I liked the quizzes that helped you decide stuff like what your nation should be like. The book is funny. I liked everything!
