You Can’t Be a Pterodactyl!

It is true grown-ups always say, “you can be whatever you want when you grow up.” As long as they agree with what you want to be, anyway. In this book, no one thinks that Tommy should want to be a pterodactyl. However, he soon finds out that really no one knows much about what it takes to be a pterodactyl or even ask why he wants to be one. Until his dad asks why at home and supports his strange wish.

This is a really great book and I learned that pterodactyls are not dinosaurs but ancient flying reptiles. I really liked the illustrations and most of all I liked his reasoning for wanting to be a pterodactyl. This is a must-read book!!
