Timo is a rabbit who has a great garden. But he doesn’t think it is great. He signs up for a garden tour and he has one week to make his garden great. At first it’s fun to garden, but he keeps wanting to do more and more things. Like he makes a new flowerbed and he moves some bushes and trims a tree to look like a rabbit. But while he is gardening, he isn’t doing things with his friends. They want him to come over to the lake, or play tennis, or come over for spinach cakes, but he’s too busy. Then one day it rains and his garden is a total mess. Will Timo be able to make his garden really great?

I like this book. I don’t think it teaches a lesson – if there is a lesson, it is, “ignore your friends and they will help you”. Because that is what happened in the story. That isn’t a very good lesson. But I like the story because it’s fun. I like all the flower pictures too – in the back there are pictures of the different flowers Timo puts in his garden
