Leo was very gentle knight. Leo didn’t want to be a knight; he just wanted to read. But his parents thought that he needed to do something besides reading all the time, so they sent him off to go tame a dragon. On the way, a griffin blocked his path. The griffin wanted to fight, but Leo said he had his brand-new sword so he would win, but he didn’t want to fight anyway. He read the griffin a story about griffins and gave him the book. Next he met a troll and did the same thing. Finally he met the dragon, who had made a huge mess. Leo told the dragon he would read him a story as soon as the dragon cleaned everything up. So the dragon did, and then Leo’s parents decided that reading all the time was okay after all.

This book is funny and has fun pictures. The knight is a little mouse, so it is funny that he is the one that is supposed to go fight the dragon. His new wooden shield might have helped him a little, but I don’t think he would have won a fight with the wooden sword!
