The Magic Trap is the fourth book in the Lemonade War series, written by Jacqueline Davies. It’s about Jessie and Evan, and the fantastic magic show they’re trying to put on.The show starts small, but when their long lost Dad surprises them with a visit, things get bigger and better! Evan is hesitant about his Dad, after all, after a very long time without even any communication, he just shows up, and waltz in their home and acts like he’s the boss. Jessie is way more excited than Evan, so much that Evan worries whether his poor sister’s heart will be broken due to his Dad’s flakiness and unreliability. When their Mom needs to leave for a trip, and the only one there to babysit is their Dad, his trust is put to the test. This is a heartfelt, warm, and dramatic novel featuring siblings working together in horrible situations.

This is a book for both boys and girls, the age range is probably 10-12.

I give The Magic Trap 3 out of 5 stars. It’s heartfelt, and interesting, but can get slow and sluggish, and has barely and if not no comedy.
