The Mage of Trelian
In The Mage of Trelian, one of the main characters, Calen, is captured by a powerful dark mage named Krelig, who wants to take over the world. Krelig thinks Calen is the key to victory because Krelig had dreams that told the future. Calen’s friend, Princess Meg, is training with her dragon to help with the kingdom’s war, which not going well. Everyone has given up on Calen because they think he is a traitor. Meg thinks he is still her friend and does not want to give up on him. In fact, Calen joined Krelig because he was threatened by the dark mage. Calen also joined Krelig because he wanted to know Krelig’s weaknesses. Will Calen be accepted back in Trelian? Will they stop Krelig?
I found this book a fun, quick read. I liked this book because it contained long action scenes and the story line was not really predictable. The story had some romance in it. I do not like romance, but that is a personal choice. The characters were believable. They had feelings like regret which changed as the novel continued. I would give this book four and a half stars.
