The Lost Puppy
The Lost Puppy is about a puppy that belongs to a little girl named Christy, who always wanted a dog. For her birthday, her aunt let her have a dachshund puppy as her present. She named him Lucky. When Lucky stayed in the house, things were great. Lucky liked to snuggle with Christy. He loved how she stayed with him when he ate his food. However, when they took Lucky on his first walk, it wasn’t so great. Lucky would chase big dogs. Christy asked her friend for ideas of what they should do about Lucky chasing other dogs. Christy told her mom her friend’s idea, and her mom agreed it was a good one. The idea turned out to be a disaster. Christy and Anna kept trying to take Lucky on walks. Christy, her little sister Anna, and her mom took Lucky on a walk in the woods. Anna fell and got hurt. While Christy and her mom were taking care of Anna, Lucky got lost. Christy was devastated. Her family looked in the woods and at the animal shelter, but they could not find Lucky. Can a 15-week-old dachshund be safe in the woods alone at night? Did someone find and take Lucky for their own pet? Read this book to find out if Christy gets her precious puppy back and what happened to Lucky when he was lost! I really like this book because it is sweet. I enjoyed reading about the pets, their owners, and how much they love each other. This book is part of the Pet Rescue Adventures series. I have read several of these books, and I enjoyed them all. These books are great for kids who like animals and want to read adventure books that are not too scary.
