The Ghost and Max Monroe, Case #2: The Missing Zucchini

There was a contest every year about who could grow the biggest vegetable, and then the prize zucchini got stolen! They call Max Monroe because they don’t know any other detective. Max and his uncle (the ghost) meet a man who is angry at the zucchini sisters for their zucchini plants because their plants block the sun so his plants can’t grow. There is another suspect, a man who was mad that the zucchini sisters had won so many years in a row. They had won nine years and were determined to make it ten. Max meets a woman who makes great zucchini bread and needs lots of zucchini to make her bread for a bake-off contest, so that was another suspect. Can Max solve the mystery?

Max and his uncle make a good team, and Larry (his uncle) is funny. For example, Larry thought the first suspect was wearing a fur coat on his head because he had so much hair. The mystery was so funny. The prize zucchini in this story weighed like three hundred pounds! That is huge! This is a funny mystery and I would like to read more in the series!
