The End of Fun

Aaron O’Faolain – a boy who almost died at ten, got expelled from school, and is supposedly at college in Sacramento – finally got FUN®. FUN® is half game, half drug. It’s implanted into your eye and is with you at all times. If you fail this game, it’s a real pain, and Aaron has failed. This whole story follows Aaron as he tries to quit FUN® and what happens to him as he does. This is the story The End of Fun by Sean McGinty. I did not like this book at all. The main character, Aaron O’Faolain, does not make good choices with his life and I feel like this whole book was set upon the theme that even if you lie and cheat and make terrible decisions everything will end up all right in the end and that is not true. There was too much profanity and swearing in this book and I found that highly offensive as well. I definitely wouldn’t recommend this book to anyone that I know and hope that I don’t have to read a book like this ever again.
