The Dragon Waking
Rose Gallagher is out in the Nevada desert searching for geodes when she finds a mysterious green and gold stone. As she is gazing at it, she hears a strange sound. She turns around, and, believe it or not, there stands an incredible shape-shifting dragon who is about to become Rose’s best friend. As you can imagine, Rose is simply thrilled to be friends with her, but things don’t go as well when in little time she finds herself fighting alongside her dragon friend with the fate of the world in her hands. I really like this book because I like seeing the dragon fascinated with simple human things like a light switch, since of course dragons would not know what a light switch is. I also like the dragon talking about her world and using her magic, like when she creates a whole suit of armor made of crystals out of graphite powder. I think you could probably read this book to little kids since it’s not too scary or sad, but it does have a battle between two dragons, so you’ll have to decide. Anyway, I hope that this book will be an adventure!
