The Doorway and the Deep
If you can find an apple tree and pull down the silver branch, you can climb inside and travel back to the magical world of Limn, where fairies and will o’ the wisps roam. But this beautiful, magical land is put in danger by the crazy king of the Southerly Court. And Lottie Fiske, the girl who has a magical healing touch and who is the last Fiske in all the world, is the only one who can stop him.
Sequel to the fabulous book, The Water and the Wild, this book is a fascinating, detailed adventure. It holds your attention and keeps you wanting more and more and more. I would recommend reading the first book beforehand. Things will definitely make more sense. I might not read this book to little kids. It’s just really action-packed, including fighting, escaping, etc. The chapters themselves are long, but they are divided into shorter sections. There is a character named Oliver who really likes quoting poetry. Quotes from poems are marked with a leaf so you can look in the back of the book and find out the poem’s title and author. So travel back to the world of Limn, and you’ll be rewarded with an exciting and thrilling time.
