The Caterpillar Woman
A beautiful woman was out by a lake when she met a stranger who asked her if she would trade coats. The woman said yes, but later the woman discovered that wearing the stranger’s coat made her look like a caterpillar. She was so sad and ashamed of how she looked that she didn’t go home but stayed all by herself in an abandoned tent. One day, three men came, asked if they could stay there, and told her they were looking for wives. The woman wished that she could marry one of them, but they all left because they didn’t want to marry someone who looked like a caterpillar. But then one man came back, and said he did want to marry her because she was so kind. So they got married and loved each other. And then the man found a drum that was left from their ancestors, and when he played it, the woman turned back into how she used to look, and he became young and strong again. This book is so nice because it wasn’t about how they looked, it was about how they acted. You will like the pictures and the good message of this story.
