River Rose and the Magical Lullaby
River Rose and the Magical Lullaby is about a little girl and her dog, Joplin. River Rose is excited to go to the zoo tomorrow. Her mom sings her a magical lullaby to put her to sleep. She wakes to magical balloons outside her window and they fly her and Joplin to the zoo. At the zoo, River Rose plays with all the animals, the elephant sprinkled water all around, she slides down the snow with a giraffe and zebra, and she plays tag with an otter. She has so much fun until the polar bears get tired and River Rose sings them her magical lullaby to put them to sleep.
I loved the book because of the illustrations and the rhyming words. I loved all of the zoo animals, especially when she played tag with an otter. On the cover of the book, it says you can listen to the original song online, but we were not able to find it. I really wish I could have heard the song. I would River Rose and the Magical Lullaby to kids who like rhyming books.
