Rebel of the Sands (Rebel of the Sands #1)

Usually I hate when reviews start off with the word “wow,” but I feel like it’s the only word that can explain all my feels after reading such an epic and magical book. Rebel of the Sands is a story filled with action, magic, romance, and a heart stopping plot that will keep you reading until the very end. The book features Middle Eastern folklore but set in a western kind of way. It has guns, shoot outs, and the heroine talks like a cowboy. It was very different yet very cool at the same time. All Amani wants is to escape to a place where she’ll have a better life than the one she was dealt. By doing that, she’ll need enough money to buy a one-way ticket out of town.

During her endeavors of making that happen, she meets Jin, a beautiful boy that wants to help and protect Amani. Along the way, the two are faced with many obstacles that will try to keep them from doing what they need to do; to try and stop an evil man from the life he’s created for his country. I was unable to put the book down after pages and pages of our kick butt heroine and the guy she may or may not have feelings for. I want the next book like yesterday but unfortunately, I’m going to have to wait for it. I don’t know how I am going to do that without going crazy. Highly recommend for teens looking for an adventure to take them away!
