Pete’s Dragon: Elliot Gets Lost

This is a book about a dog named Elliot. He goes on a trip with his family but gets lost in the woods! The characters in this book include Elliot, his (human) family, and a variety of forest animals, including a frog, an owl, and a fox. When Elliot meets his new friends in the woods, they try to help him get back to his family. Will he make it back!?! You’ll have to read the book to find out. I loved the artwork in this book. It made the puppy Elliot look very cute and adorable. I didn’t like the part where Elliot gets lost because that could seem kind of scary. This book is based on a movie that’s coming out, called Pete’s Dragon. The earlier version of Pete’s Dragon is part live-action and part animated. I really want to see the new movie! My mom thought this book would be about a dragon, but it’s about a dog. Although this story seemed like it might be for kids younger than me, I liked this book very much.
