Clementine’s mom is the head of the art museum, so Clementine spends a lot of time there. One morning, as she is going to the dinosaur festival on the big lawn (the place where the four most popular museums share a lawn space), she sees two people carrying a big rectangular object that is covered, but when she accidentally steps on the covering, she sees it is a painting. It looks like a famous painting from the museum. She thinks someone was stealing the painting and replaced it with a fake. But no one believes her. Will anyone help her solve this museum mystery?

This book is fun because it has the children working together to solve the mystery. I liked the pictures, especially the pictures of the bad security guard, although I didn’t particularly like the pictures of the main character in this book. The best part of the book was when the children pulled a scam to try to get a closer look at the painting. It was a short, intriguing mystery that was easy to read and a lot of fun!
