Mouse Scouts: Make A Difference
Mouse Scouts: Make a Difference, is about a group of mice friends that are trying to earn their “Make a Difference” badge. According to the Mouse Scouts motto, they should try to be cheerful, aware, and thoughtful. They decide to clean up the local park so their community can enjoy a tidy place to have a picnic lunch and play but, when they pick up the trash and put it into a pile by the trash can, the wind blows the trash away all over the park again. The Scouts decided instead to make a trash basket out of trash! Then, they put more trash into it. I thought that was a wonderful idea! The Scouts face a big dilemma when a local cat, Big Red, gets stuck in a tall tree. What will the Mouse Scouts do? Will they help someone in need? Will they earn their Make a Difference badge?
Throughout the book, there are a lot of project ideas for kids. I enjoyed reading about things I can do to help my community, just like the Mouse Scouts!
