More-igami
One day a woman came to school and folded a paper crane. Joey wanted to learn how to do it, but the mom said she could teach him how to make the folds, but he would need practice and patience if he wanted to be an origami master. So he keeps on folding and folding and folding, but his mom and his sister don’t like him folding their things. Then he goes into his friend’s restaurant and the owner says he can fold napkins, so he folds them and folds them and folds them. First he folds pyramids, and then crowns, and candlesticks, and fans. Finally he is able to fold a perfect crane. He tells a girl that he can show her how, but to do it herself she needs practice and patience too!
This book tells you a little bit about origami and it shows you how to make a paper ladybug at the end, but it is really fun because it is a good story about trying over and over and practicing until you can do what you want to do. It was also really nice that his friend let him practice at the restaurant.
