Moana and the Ocean

This is a picture book. I have seen the movie, and this book is inspired by it. Moana is a great character who finds power in the water. I like how she is a strong, brave girl. This book is not told from Moana’s point of view–it is told from the ocean’s point of view! (Have you ever wished that an ocean could talk?!) The ocean talks to Moana, and it tells her about when it first saw her. The magic begins now…Moana tries to get anywhere, and the ocean helps her. She is trying to get to her island. Motunui is her island. Does Moana get to her island home? You’ll have to read the book to find out! One thing that I really liked is that there are scenes from the movie even though the whole book isn’t from the movie. Boys and girls who enjoy Disney and books about the ocean would really enjoy this book. I especially like reading this book while I listen to my soundtrack from the movie!
