Kylie Jean: Gymnastics Queen

Kylie Jean: Gymnastics Queen is an awesome book about Kylie Jean who wants to be a gymnastics queen. Kylie is a girl who lives in a yellow house in Jacksonville, TX. She has a dog named Ugly Brother who ran off by himself while she was taking him to the park. When she saw him, she went straight to him, but when she was about to grab him, a girl did a handstand and a perfect back-spring. She asked her how she could do it, but her mother said, “Hello, my name is Tonya Golden, and my daughter over there is Abby.” Abby is deaf, so she can’t hear you. Abby inspired Kylie Jean. So she asked her mom if she could go to gymnastics classes, and her mom said yes. So the next day she and her mom went to the gymnastics center to sign her up. A few days later, Kylie and her friend Paula did a gymnastics routine, and they did well. Characters in this book are really well framed, especially Kylie, who is caring and pretty. She learned Sign Language to talk to her friend Abby and from that she learned gymnastics. Kylie’s dream is being a gymnastics queen; my dream is to become an astronaut. What is yours?
