In The Shadow of The Dragon King

In the Shadow of the Dragon King was about two teenagers named Sestian and Eric, who live in a magical realm called Fallhallow. They team up with another teenager named David from our world. David is called a paladin, sent to help Fallhollow fight the dragon king.

This book was fun, adventurous, and very awesome. I especially enjoyed the details used in creating a picture of the creatures and Fallhollow. I was able to picture in my head how scary and strong the dragon was with his snake-like scales and fiery breath. I also liked the characters in this story. They were brave and their dialogue was funny and sarcastic. I liked how they mixed the characters to be from a magical realm as well as from our world to help make it seem more realistic. I feel this book would be best for pre-teens and teenagers because of the use of some big words, and the point of view made it kind of confusing in some parts. I would highly recommend this book to teens who are into dragons and Lord of the Rings type stories.
