Hilo Book 3: The Great Big Boom
Hilo is a boy robot. D.J. is a normal guy who is his friend. Gina got sucked through a portal at the end of the last book. (Cliffhanger!) At the beginning of this book, the army is surrounding Hilo and D.J. with tanks and helicopters. They trick them by crying, then look for a portal to find Gina. They land on the planet Oshun. Hilo gets dirt in his underwear and runs out of batteries. An alligator with a laser blaster is riding the giant rodent. He shoots lasers at them. They get help from a talking kitty named Polly. (Hilo and D.J. know her from Book 2.) They find Gina. There’s only one portal opening to home, and it’s thirty miles away, past the Uncanny Valley. There’s someone nearby who can help Hilo get his memories back. Will they get home? Will Hilo get his memories back? Read the book to find out.
This book is a graphic novel. What the “Great Big Boom” is is funny. I liked this book as much as the first two in the series. It is exciting and funny. Polly is my favorite character. I don’t have a favorite part because it’s all funny and exciting. I liked the ending. It’s not a cliffhanger, but there will be another Hilo book. Huzzah! (Read the book to understand “Huzzah!”)
