Hill & Hole Are Best Friends
Hill and Hole are friends. Hill stretches up high and can see the sunrise. Hole can’t see it, so she asks about it, and Hill tells her how beautiful it is.
Hill cannot feel the earth breathe as much as Hole…So Hole tells her about how peaceful that feeling is.
After a while, Hill feels the desire to feel the earth by herself. Hole desires to see the sunrise. So they ask their friend, the Mole, to change their shape. Hill becomes as deep as Hole and Hole becomes as tall as Hill. Now they can see and feel what they couldn’t before and they enjoy it, for a while. Then Hole is a bit scared by how far the horizon stretches, and Hill is scared by how strong the earth feels. They ask Wind if it can do something about it. Wind blows and blows but all it can do is to have them become flat. Now they can both see and feel what they wanted, and they are happy.
This book was interesting. I saw that sometimes you want something really badly, but after you get it, you miss having what you had before. It happens to me with my toys, too.
