Elephant & Piggie Like Reading! The Cookie Fiasco

Hippo brings out a plate of three cookies to share between four friends– himself, Squirrel, Monkey, and Alligator. The friends realize that there are not enough cookies for everyone to have his own cookie. Oh no! Someone will have to share! I hate to share, especially when it comes to cookies! There is a huge debate over how the cookies should be divided so that everyone gets the same amount.

All the arguing is making Hippo anxious! Do you know what Hippo does when he gets anxious? He breaks cookies! All the friends are startled when they realize what is happening. Will the friends get to eat their cookies before Hippo crunches them all up into a million pieces?!

This is a very funny book, and I would recommend that everyone read it. The pictures are hilarious! Everyone’s expressions are comical. I especially liked when Squirrel yells, “We need equal cookies for all!” I feel the exact same way! I also loved when Hippo says they should divide the cookies based on size, because he is the biggest animal and would get the most!
