Diary of a Worm: Nat the Gnat
It’s a very exciting day when Worm’s class gets a new class pet, Nat the gnat! The class gets to take turns caring for the pet. Worm is very excited when it’s his turn. Then something really bad happens. They lose the class their class pet! He accidently leaves the cage open when at recess. Worm and his buddy, Spider, try to replace Nat. Luckily, Spider is able to spin a web so they can catch another gnat. As it turns out, Nat was in the cage all along. Now the class has two pet gnats, Nat and Pat!
I liked this story a lot. It had lots of ups and downs – happy then sad then happy again. The story wasn’t as funny as the original Diary of a Worm book, but it was still very good. The illustrations were just as great as the original books. This is a book that I will read over and over again. I’m 5 years old, and I could read it by myself.
