Curse of the Boggin
This book is about a boy named Marcus. He found a ghost key. The key enables him to enter the library. In the library, there are ghosts. Boogeymen. They all have a story. And all the stories in the library will finish you if you don’t finish them first. Marcus thinks that the library is all a joke. Until the haunting starts. A giant bully at school one day almost kills Marcus. A really strange guy in a bathrobe is haunting him. Fire flares out…Marcus thinks he is going nuts. But he has to solve the mystery before it solves him.
I think Curse of The Boggin by D.J. McHale is really good. All the characters actually learn something. There is a lot of action. In some parts of the book it gets really unrealistic, but I think that makes it more fun to read. This is the first book, so don’t worry about not understanding it. In fact, I think it is easy to understand. The plot is easy to understand, but it makes a lot of sharp turns. But they are easy to understand. This book would be good for ages eight to ten.
