Brains On! Presents…Meet My Micro-Pets!

Dominique is probably the most excited person about her own set of personal microbes that live on her skin. She’s so excited, in fact, that she wants to show them off at her classroom show and tell. Her classmates are a bit confused because they are unable to see the microbes, but then she is able to immerse her peers into using their imagination to imagine what her as well as their microbes look like.

This book was so good that it reminded me of an episode of The Magic School Bus, where they take an adventure to learn more about their bodies. The illustrations in this book were really great. I really liked seeing how she imagined these microscopic microbes. Seriously, the best part was when she talks about farts! It was also cool that this book was full of information so it was a really fun way to learn.
