Batman: Gotham City’s Guardian
Batman is a super hero who protects his hometown called Gotham City, which might have the biggest supply of bad guys in the world. His hideout is a cave system called the Batcave under his house that he discovered as a little boy. He works with a super hero team called The Justice League, which includes Superman and Wonder Woman. They are the most powerful team of super heroes in the world.
This book is not just Batman’s life story. The different chapters are about different things. One is about the different criminals, one is about him as a little boy, and my favorite chapter is about all of his gadgets. It explains that he has more than one Batmobile. Did you know there were four different Robins? Even I didn’t know that. I like the Foreword because it is from Batman’s point of view and the rest of the book isn’t Batman speaking, but from the author’s point of view. The illustrations are black and white, but also very detailed. In the equipment chapter, it shows you the original plans for all his gadgets. I think that part is really cool! I’m not listing all of the chapters in the book, even though they’re really great. You’ll have to read it to find out!
