Alphonse, That Is Not OK to Do!
Natalie was born before Alphonse, but she is nice to him: they snuggle together to be read stories; they throw things from the top bunk bed and they have fun.
One rotten day, when nothing is working out, Alphonse ruins Natalie’s favorite book. He apologizes and offers to try to fix it, but she just goes away and makes a drawing of a tornado, two monsters, and a rain of green peas. While she takes a bath, she hears tornado noises, creepy screeches, and a rain made of hard things. She goes out trying to find out what happened and sees the bedroom completely messed up: Alphonse tried to get to the tape to fix the book, and used the vacuum to get it out of the tall drawer. Then he tried to climb and mistakenly hurt the cat. Then all fell on the floor including marbles. That explains all the scary noises! Natalie is happy Alphonse is okay, and the two of them end up working together on the drawing that Alphonse made much nicer in the meantime.
This was a nice book showing how we can get angry at times, but we can always work it out.
