A Marvel of Magick: Madden and the Dark Unicorns of Danuk
I liked this book. I thought it was interesting that it could seem like it took place in the past, while at other times sounding modern. The book has an interesting concept, with likable characters that can easily appeal to the reader. This book is unique to other books featuring magic, most others use common ways of speaking, while this one uses “Thanks be to the goodness,” Used by Torque, And “Magick” used instead of “Magic” in all instances. The names of the characters also interest me, they are uncommon and therefore less likely to be forgotten. The illustrations are beautiful, they go into so much detail in light and shadow, and they look very realistic. I like the mixture of horror (at some parts) and fantasy. In doing so, A Marvel of Magick is an amazing book for lovers of different genres. This book is one of the best fantasy books you will ever see.
